1997 Mitsubishi 3000 GT Beauty Shots

This car's former owner was my nephew, Dusty3KGT on 3si.
He was a Marine Military Working Dog Handler and was killed in action in Iraq on March 21, 2007.
The car had been setting for a while until this past Christmas '07. My sister (Dustin's mom) allowed me to drive it back to Chattanooga, TN where I live where she told me to "sell it" or "do whatever I waned to with it". I haven't put a for sale sign on it because the car is very sentimental to me. Dusty loved the 3Ss because I did. We test drove this one togther and he ended up buying it. The thought of selling it makes me nauseous.
So I am in the process of restoring it. I have already restored the headlights. Brake system upgrade is next.

This car is in memory and dedicated to my nephew Cpl Dustin J. Lee, USMC

Taken at the National Cemetery in Chattanooga, TN. 1/20/08

Restoring the headlights

One of the main problems with plastic headlight housing is the fading and oxidation of the clearcoat.
Before photos showing oxidation and fading. A Link to instructions of the process is on right hand sid of page
